you don't wanna watch too close, that 660 of mine mite throw a bit of sawdust in your eye!! or if i get really worked up i have a tendency of throwing things(including saws) we red haired irish have a bit of a temper:chainsawguy: ----and like our beer

"I have never "babied" a saw... Run the pizz out of them... it's what they're made to do..." Agreed! this babying the saws is not my thing. I think you should tear it right down just in case the metal flakes found their way near the crank bearings. A complete rebuild top to bottom will also put your mind at ease when you do get her running. The 046 from what I hear is a darn good saw I hope I get to run one soon enough.
