This bar came with an 044 I recently acquired, but I don't have a chain for it and it's really too big for my purposes anyhow. The guy I got it from inherited it in 1997, and never used it; it's just been hanging in a garage for 17 years. I dropped a chain into the slot and it fit nicely, no excessive wear. Nose sprocket turns smoothly and easily. There's a bit of a wire edge in a few places that needs to be filed clean, mostly at the very rear where the chain hits the bar after coming off the drive sprocket. No signs of overheating. There is a small chip in the tip (how does that happen?) which I don't think is too big of a deal.
I'm not very active here which I realize triggers mistrust, but I can point you at several members who'll vouch for me if your interested.
I'm open to trades or to selling it outright. I don't know what it's worth, so feel free to make an offer. For trades I'd be interested in a 28" bar (Stihl or large Husky) in similar condition, or maybe even a nicer 24" large mount Husky bar. I already have a good 24" Stihl bar, so that wouldn't work.
