Hello
Steve Melzer sent me a loop of Stihl RS that he reground on his Silvey. And I tested it against a brand new loop of Oregon CL square chisel both chains are 3/8 .063 gauge.I tested with a 084 woodssaw in a 10X10 frozen Aspen cant this morning(1 cut). Made a few cuts with both chains.and averaged them

Seth here, I like the grind job, waiting for a racing bar for the 044, I got some .050 3/8 chisel that I am taking the teeth back to the last rivet with the round grinder and puting in deep gullets right now and maybe if your not to busy I could have you put a square grind in. Thanks Seth

Thats great. z4lunch is better at grinding square chisel chain than Gyppo Logger is, its just that Gyppo is a better photographer than z4lunch. Seth

Hello, some of the crap I have posted here ain't no better, and when your three sheets to the wind anything is postable. I was tring to get a rise out of Ginger but he didn't take the bait about grinding square chisel.
I still await for the bar its custom so I won't know how many drivers will be needed. Seth

ps: Paul, the part went out Monday so you should get it by Friday.

Hey Seth, I thought I was the best square filer East of the Rockies? I guess Steve and I need to race. I only charge 30$ a loop 84 drivers for my fastest wood chain. Now thats a deal!

Being the great square grinder that I am, It is my obligation to my fellow grinderers, to post pictures so they can learn how to grind as well as I can.
The pictures never look as good as the actual cutter though, I wonder why that is?

Then learn how to take a picture and get off your boney a$$ and make some money so you can afford a real camera, Richard Cranium.

Hello Steve
Ran into some trouble on getting the 2 15/16"-.063 Oregon rollernoses at Andersons saw shop.So I will have to go north and hit some of the small backwoods saw shops. It's like the movie(Deliverance) at some of those places in the sticks,so far out that the snow plows don't even bother.

Trolling for roller noses

Seth,
Steve here... Thanks for the update, and the kind words and testing on the chain I sent.
Steve

John is probably one of the worst square chain filers that I have never met....
