Are all the parts there.. I dont see the clips... And also wondering why it won't fit.. I'd buy this for $20 if all the parts are included. (about $5 cheaper than baileys or fleabay..)
I'm also curious about the fitment problem. I built my 028 off of a early version. I had a much newer Super version for a donor saw that I used the rim set-up off of and it fit right on.
The sprocket is spoken for at this time pending funds.
The fitment issue is that the very early 028 must have used larger crank and bearing dia as the hole in this one is too small to fit. The ID and OD of the drum were different also.
I ended up having to use a spur sprocket and I think that is the only thing to fit one.
The Stihl dealer told me that the Bing carbed 028 super that I had here must have been one of the very first few to be built. I'm the only one who constantly runs into crap like this all the time. LOL
I believe I did use the Super clutch as well but I am certain that I used the early version crank assembly without issues. I was't aware of this BING carb version until now. It may very well be an odd ball that's causing the controversy here. I'm gonna look into this and see what I can find out.
