If this works, I'm currently in a 747 with my laptop headed over Canada from Chicago to Japan! Just wanted to say hi. :blob2:

I don't get much of a chance to sleep when I'm over there. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, however. When I get back, I'll post a couple of pictures to show you why.

im sorry but im just amazed at that. last time i was on a plane i sent a fax. Heck im just amazed at the remote control for the tv.

Wow, so if you were hooked up to one of them airplane phones that means some of you are willing to pay $9.99 a minute to get on arboristsite.:D I cut everyone a deal 10 bucks a month. Any takers?
Have fun over there. I liked everything but the food. Nasty stuff. Lived off pasta for the week, and even that sucked. Pasta that tastes like fish. :p

I'm writing this from my hotel room overlooking Tokyo Bay. It's after 2 in the morning on Tuesday here. I'll be home by Tuesday night EST.

Darin,
Trust me when I say that the $9.99/min. plane connection, or whatever it is, is absolutely trivial when compared to other costs. How about $8000 for a last minute round trip ticket, or $1500 for 3 nights in the hotel. They send a limo for me at the airport. The ride into town takes about 1/2 hour and that's $350 each way. A nominal dinner for 4 of us cost over $1300, and that doesn't include Cognac, wine or Cubans ($30-50 each) after dinner. I don't care for most of the food, but anything's better than Germany or England. Figure that a 4 day trip over here will end up costing in the neighborhood of $12-15,000. I didn't get to do the nightlife thing because of time constraints this trip, but that could have (would have) pushed it close to $20,000.

Dennis,
I'll be in touch on Wednesday. I didn't bring my chainsaw because I knew I'd catch some s#@t as all these little Japanese guys only use what they can handle: Stihls. lol! They had a race in back of the hotel, where they were timing each other for single cuts through 3/4" Bonsai cants! I informally timed one and observed 17 seconds on my watch. I haven't been anywhere that has good shirts this time. I could get you one at the airport, but they suck. I'll be coming back in the April time frame, and can do it then.

Ken,
Yeah, I gotta wear a suit, but only when I meet with the brass of Japanese customers. I get stuck going out to dinner with them and avoiding doing the Karaoki thing which is considered normal fare over here. Did you get my email with questions that I sent last week?
