I been shopping too. A friend of mine installs them and saise dvr space is a pretty important factor. he's gonna set me up with left over cameras and hardware and do the install on the side.. Just waiting for a dvr with lots of memory. Looking to do a 3 camera set up for around 12 hundy

I could stand 12 hun for a good set up that is weather proof, works good at night and has lots of memory and I got the trees to install in too. Does it send notification of activity to your email then separately store the recording on a dvr? Seems like the memory would only be necessary for the time the cam is activated by movement?

Pls. let me know how it works out. Seems weird there is such a wide span in prices of these cams.

Just wiped out three big trees for a guy who installs these systems, supposed to get hooked up with 4 infrared cameras and a dvr system. Supposed to send alerts and live screen shots to my ipad, should be cool. I'm sure I'll get lots of pics of my cat and some squirrels, but you never know.

Hi Dave

I have the 4 camera deal, infrared and night vision, it records 16.5 days, drops off the last day. I have my whole lot covered and one covers the front, records every single car and their plate that comes down my road. No more thieving around dis beyatch.
Technology being as cheap and readily avail as it is, this stuff has come down quite a bit in the last few years. I think if your willing to spend 12, u could get a better way system than mine and it works great. I have about 450 in mine, I think.

I tested the night stuff, it is amazing how clear it is for the price.

Is that including the recorder? If so, pretty killer deal. Just had an incident last week, probably no car involved but might have got a recognizable picture from them:angry:

Thanks Scott, any chance of a link to what you got? Few hun saved is a few hunert earned.

I honestly am not sure. I know the stuff is used but still up to date, just from people upgrading. I know it can be checked from a wireless device but don't know if it actually sends notification of activity. I'll keep ya posted
