Local dealer says NLA and I've looked on the net about everywhere to find one with no luck. Mine is somewhat chewed up and I'd like to replace it. Anyone have any idea where I can obtain one. Tried all the usual aftermarket suppliers and zip. It's the one that attaches to the side cover with a domed rivet. Everything else chain guide wise is good to go.

I'll get the part number off it later today. It's the one that fits on the backside of the side cover and it looks to be hard translucent nylon. My local dealer says it's NLA. The ones on Flea Bay are not correct, looked at those. Least the annular buffers were available. At 45 years old, things do wear out including me at 75. Cost is no object at all...

Some of my older 084's had those bigger nylon ones in them before the later in some of them. I basically gave them away when folks were buying the rest of my 084 parts.

Think you can see them laying there in a pile. NOS and used for 084's older clutch covers.

If you don't need original I think many Stihl clutch covers swap out. Lots of dead Stihls out there.......

See above ^^^^^, it is original part #

The cover and parts are identical to 024/026/260/029/039/290/390/034/036/038 parts. Maybe more saws, that is all I checked.

Should be a bazillion used ones out there.
