Over sized screw for uper av mount.

I almost stripped the screw for the upper av mount on my 028 during my reassembly of parts the other day. Thought I put the wrong screw in at first. Put what I thought was right in and it barley held. Thought it would hold but didn't lost the screw now I need a new one. The screw I put in first I thing went to the lower rear mount. At either rate it was bigger than the rest.


Anyone have part numbers for the screws so I can help the stihl dealer not have to look trough the 5827346583483674834 different parts list for this freaking saw.

Are you talking about the screw that goes into the tank - number 13? This is for the plastic tank. There is NO oversize screw, so you'll have to fix the hole (put in a thin section of trimmer line) or put in a woodworking insert.

What the heck is number 52? Mine doesn't have that.


From the looks of that picture I had the right screw in the first place. I need to find an ipl first if I do this again.

52 is a retainer - stops the buffer from bending too much.. about a $1...
