I couldn’t start my old saw and when I removed air filter I found idle screw and spring laying in bottom. I also noticed a hole with threads on side of carb but didn’t find anything. Carb is a Walbro HDA 35B hard to find a parts diagram but think its called a throttle stop is what’s missing. It’s the hole in picture above HDA. Anyone have any idea what’s missing and where to get one.DF2C9F1F-DC3E-441C-BDC2-11C1F0C09181.jpeg

It’s the choke lock you’re missing.

I don’t know if Walbro supports parts on these old carbs. You can cross reference the part on the HD-35 with the HD-120 and the HD-144. I think also the HD-87 has the same part. But it may just be easier to search ebay for a replacement carb if you can’t find that one piece.

Thanks for your replies, seems hard to find this little part and screw. I will keep digging but I think it’s obsolete. I thought maybe someone on here would have parts for old saws.

Parts for old saws, sure. I know some people have spare carbs for this 2-series of saws. But you’d have to buy a whole used carb off someone. Doubtful that someone has spare parts for a carb, other than a diaphragm kit. Your best bet is likely ebay, get a used carb.

You could also try these guys:

They are a master Walbro distributor and have some obsolete and NOS inventory. If not, they may be able to cross it to an available part.

That is good advice except VE Peterson went to all UPS shipping. It would cost $15 to ship that tiny little lever.. At least thats what they told me the last time I called them a few years ago.
