What parts are you looking for, I have had to source lots of stuff for the '74. Altec's prices were very high for standard heavy duty machine parts.

I just recently had to replace one of the bearings on the blower side of the drum.........I did find that locally......I would like to know where I may be able to find other drum housing parts as well as a floor plate and many other parts........It would be nice to know some resources........any help would be greatly appreciated.........

I'm guessing that if Altec can't help you, you'd need to get parts like like fabricated. Altec, at the very least, should have schematics of the cutter assembly.

I have the original manual that shows a complete diagram of entire drum assembly.......what i need is a resource for parts......I called Altec and they said because it was manufactured before I believe 1977 that I would need to call a 800 number for parts assistance........needless to say ......it was of no help.........Im kind of thinking im running out of places to possibly look for parts........

For any of the heavy duty drive parts like the tapered sleeve that holds the fly wheel on use https://www.motionindustries.com. They helped me find all the parts I needed and at 30% of Altec's prices.

Most of the sheet metal is easy for a metal shop to put together if you have a reasonable sample. I had parts made for the price of a box of Donuts and a box of Joe at a metal fabricator.

Napa or any truck parts shop will be able to get the engine parts. The 330 V8 was used in F600 trucks and big U-Hauls in the Seventies.

Not much has changed in the design of these units over the years, so parts are pretty interchangeable from model year to model year, if you find one for parts.

What parts are you looking for?

I would really like to get a copy of your parts and operator manual. My e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks,
Chip

HELLO!!! I do understand that I will not find in stock parts.......ummm go figure....I have had all metal parts basically refabricated and replaced..........what I was basically referencing was exactly what OLD CHIPMONK has pointed out.......someone with an old one not being used........that can be parted out.....(imagine that)...I do appreciate your response........
