ok guys, i've got a serious question here. I just set up another computer on my network and when I tries to log on to AS, I CAN'T REMEMBER MY PASSWORD! Does anybody know how to reset it w/o knowing the original?

Here you go, I got it for you ********* OK?

Just kidding. :jester:

Near the login details is a "I've got alzheimers so click here" button, it should email you to help you out. I've never forgotten mine as I have to log in with password daily due to the cleansing I give this PC every night.

And I dont like no windows/Gates thing knowing my stuff. :)

Tip for remembering passwords: Pick a sentence that's easy for you to remember. Like a line of a song that you like, or something like that. You could use a poem, Bible verse, line from a movie, whatever.

Now take the first letter of each word.

See?

Now
Take
The
First
Letter
Of
Each
Word

You wind up with what looks like a string of random letters. Impossible to guess, easy to remember.

Better if you can include some numbers.

For God so loved the world John 3:16
gives you FGsltwJ316

My wife was born on February 16, 1966 gives you MwwboF161966

Just don't pick something that's really common.

I always wondered what you did for a living ... ex CIA code breaker hey. :D

most of the time it's really not a problem, but all my passwords at work expire in 60 days and not at the same time. Not to mention that you can't reuse a password for two rotations. Just a lot more crap to deal with.:biggrinbounce2:

I have the same problem - plus they have stringent requirements for lenght, mixed case, AND special characters. I find my "acronym" method works well.
