I was just wondering who all was going to the Pen Del West TCC. I will be out there tomorrow Friday evening. Right now I am going crazy trying to get things in order at home before I go. I have a gelding in the morning ropes to splice and a doctor apt before I leave. I hope to get out of here by 2.

Sure I will keep an eye out for ya. I'll be a bit busy with registration and getting ready. I'll be with the colored guy as he was called last year by the westerners. I am hopeing things dont run too late. You have anyword on what sort of tunout they are expecting as far as participants?

Probably the usual 4 to 6 apprentices and I guess up to 15 Journeymen. I am not competing, just going to buy some stuff and support a good friend who is competing.

No Jim Roach is staying at home this year, so its just me comeing out to steal all the prizes. :D

Husky do I know you?after you telling me to stay on my own side of the state I should have changed my mind.

Jon called to check in from the competition. It was rainy and sounded like he was having a good day... I think he said 24 second footlock and 31 second belayed speed climb. Sounds goodrelative to his performance in the east, though the course could be set differently. He also said the limb on the work climb limb walk got broken.... guess they gotta deduct points for tree damage... Jon also said there was no friction saver set on one of the aerial rescue lines and I think he said it was a linden and the line was getting pretty sticky as it worked into the crotch.
Rain can be an advantage for those whom are used to working in it.

John came in 3rd overall with some funny ruleings but all is well.I'm proud of him and beleive he may be ready to take the next step:)
