Perkins diesel 90xp

I was doing my first oil change on my new to me 90xp chipper . Grabbed some 15w 40 semi synthetic oil at walmart and apparently it was not stocked with the same oil so 3 quarts of 10w30 was put in before i realized the mistake and finished with almost 6 courts of 15w 40 all the oil was the same accept for the weight do you think its a big deal to run it , also i live in Maryland if that helps for the operating temperature. Thanks for any help

Is the 10w30 diesel engine rated, or is it for gasoline engines?

In the cooler weather I don't think it'll make much of a difference, by summer I'd definitely get it changed.

Yes it was Shell Rotella T5 Synthetic Blend

You'll be fine then. Depending on the duty cycle it would probably be a good idea to change it before the weather gets hot though. You didn't mention the engine model and I'm not familiar with the platform they use in chippers but some Perkins are air cooled and use the oil for cooling.
I'd definitely want right viscosity in it for that.

You ever see a head gasket let go on an oil cooled engine? If the oil from the cooling jackets pass through the right (wrong) spot from a failure, stuff gets Knarly quick!

I've seen every conceivable engine failure imaginable, hence my handle.
Plus I loved going to old school scrap yards when I was younger.
There was one with lime mine equipment, powered by V16-92 Detroit diesels 2 strokes.

I am a maintenance chief for a state park service now. I used to be involved in alot hot rods though ,hence looking at Detroit blowers.
