how hard is it to get a persimon tree to grow from seed?
From Michael A. Dirr's 'Manual of Woody Landscape Plants'.
Persimmon
Diospyros virginiana
Seed, stratify in sand or peat for 60 to 90 days at 41 Degrees F.

Sounds like some peat and a refrigerator will do it.
I planted some here from seedlings about 15 years ago and lotsa sprouts comming under the trees, but I think their suckers from the original root systems.
You want enough trees planted together to be sure you get male and female trees to get persimmons.
