I am happy to see that they are concerned with Lead being released into the environment. And I congratulate them for their effort.

On the other hand.

What about your personal safe handling of a Lead weighted bag? The internal balloon wears, ruptures and degrades without a visual sign and the Lead is then pulverized and dusts up or oozes from the bag. It is just a balloon after all.

Is a recycling program enough?
What is your take on this?

Really the amount of shot in one of these bags is usually not spilled around and on your hands nearly as much as stuff like fishing, using fire arms and so on. They really see this as a big deal? We handle 100 pound lead bars often we use them for weighting dirt track cars. I do a lot of reloading and man think if the lead in the ground from all the poor shots in the world. Every dove season I usually fire a few hundred shells then you spit some lead bb's everyone once in a while.

That bag seems pretty safe compared to the rest of the stuff we do regularly.

#### my house has copper pipes I hope you guys know what flux is and what it contains.

All my guys wear full containment suits when handling throw bags. We store them in a special vacuum sealed bin in the truck, and they go through a wash down before removing the suits. Can't be too careful.

Press in a new primer, little powder and old throw bags get dumped into reloaded 12ga. shells. Make wax slugs Recycle that sh!t into a plate of partridge!
