Anybody every treat preventively for Phylloxera on Hickory (or pecan, for that matter)?

Obviously too late this year, but met with a client today who would prefer we prevent it next year if possible. All of the information I am finding is older with older pesticide recommendations. This is a 70' tall tree, so canopy spray is less than desirable. Any luck with systemic pesticides? I have my doubts, but thought I'd ask...

Thanks!

I get 2-4 calls a year from customers, "My Hickory has a fungus dropping blackened leaves all over my nice lawn."
If it's June I know what it is, leaf stem gall. Wrote a script last week for a Shagbark, apply Dinotefuran (trunk drench) now to help control 2nd generation of leaf stem Adelgids. Apply imidacloprid (soil injection) April 2015 for same insect.
Haven't had to treat more than 2 consecutive years for complete control.
