I cut real large live oaks with it and do some milling with the 090 as well.

Art,you are the man that inspired me to get a 090.After seeing it,your 090, on the Tool Shed forum some time back I just had to have one.It may never run like your but I can try :D .........well maybe not:D .When I first got it I removed the cylinder gasket and the govern.I had a old 32" Oregon roller tip bar and stuck that on to w/ 3/8 square chain and a 9 pin rim sprocket.Man that thing would rip.Well,I didn't know better and ran the mix at 50-1 and siezed the rings to the piston.Good news it had a warranty:D .Well I put it back stock until I can get a pro to hop it up.

Was just wondering if an 090 would outlast a 3120, and if the 3120 has been made for 50 years like the 090? The dude in the pic is a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

There really needs to be a date listing in the index for the original post in a thread just like there is for the most recent.  Sometimes these guys dig up old stuff...

Hi Bill, no more 090's in Canada, they were discontinued last year. My Stihl dealer was launched into Platinum catagory after I purchased over 50 of them. Wished I kept a few.

Hi Russ, the 090 is still made today in Germany and/or Brasil, but why? It's a dog stock, but lasts forever. I cant imagine how many Burmese Teak are ruined everyday by using such a slow saw.
Lets move down there and sell Jokerized 066's and Lambertized 357's and take in all the 090 boat anchors we can find and ship em back to North America, we would get rich and scoop some Burmese Teak at the same time.
