A peavey has a pointy end and a hinged hook, my weapon of choice for rolling logs, unless there is a giant wheeled machine nearby. A peavey has permanent residence in the crummy.
A cant hook, has a bluntish end with a slight hook, and a similar hinged hook generally used for rolling cants on a saw mill, hence the name cant hook.
A pickeroon, is really just a spike on an axe handle, mostly used for pulling boards off a green chain or picking up small logs for pulp etc, i hear they are handy for getting fyre wood off the ground too.
The Hume, Holbrock, Katahdin, sound like brand names to me, cause I never heard of em.
