Do any of you's guys use one? and do ya realize the back aches they save? If ya ever "piece cut".....ya know the value of one...........easiest way to move a piece of wood on the ground with out bending over......I used to have one, that was hand made..... it had a small blade on the back for chopping, and the hook had a nice flat L shaped hook tip.......just drop it into a log and it was hooked........a flick of the wrist and it was unhooked. I've never seen one like it in anywhere else........in logger slang.....a peckeroo

Glen I seen those cut axe heads before....its not the one,... this one was less than 1/2 the weight of that weapon in the pic...dneiger sent me a note saying had some axearoons in stock...I hope they are the ones...I'm gathering my this winters firewood and am tired of bending over.....

A pickeroon has just a single "finger" like prong on it and axe blade. It's light and handy. I've seen them along but don't own one. Probably ought to. I wonder how it would work picking up firewood? Guys around here use them for moving pulp sticks.
