Here are a couple quick 100% chainsaw carvings I did last week. I milled these slabs of red oak then made the relief carvings from them. I'm trying to come up with some small easy selling carvings and hope these will fit the bill.

Way cool!

Maybe even advertise locally that you will do "custom" work as well, perhaps from the customers pictures or something they want.

Thanks guys. I'm working on getting a website going sometime soon and have a request from a local craft/tourist shop for some of these small peices. I also use the mill for making bench seats and have a "high end" landscape company asking about purchasing some of those to use in their hardscape designs. They are interested in both carved benches and plain finished slabs which they will make benches out of using stone on the ends. It is slow starting but I can see light ahead. Imagination and designs nobody else is offering seams to be the trick.

Nice work. I'm not into carving but I can appreciate the effort and skill.

I like your aux oiler - the design/style looks familiar :cute:

You might be wearing ear plugs, but even so I don't know how you can mill without muffs. I wear both muffs and plugs. When you're an old fart like me and can't stand being in a group of more than ~5 people because you can understand a word anyone is saying you'll understand why.

thanks Bob. I'm just missing the sight level tube. I'll probably add one when I get a chance. As for the hearing I'm already there thanks to the Army and some Iraqi's who didn't like me very much. I wear a triple flange fitted ear plug though so I can still hopefully hear the wife at least when she has something good to say.:smirk:

Uh - Ho!
Mine is self inflicted - too much 70's rock music.
