Here are some pictures of me, my bro, and dad finnishing up a job we did last summer. I just got a whole bunch of pictures from my mom's computer, so I will be posting lots of stuff.

The tree was a good size Soft Maple. We climbed it and brought er down. Sorry no pics of that.

Here we are feeding the old chuck'n'duck.

+1.....We pimped it out with a diamond plate aluminum battery box, and now we have built a brand new shute and spout. I call it the yellow Hornet cause we painted the shute and spout black. Runs awesome.

10/4 I call mine the bumble bee lol cause it stings I love it though!

Uh, nice chip truck?
I see your brother is sporting the highly fashionable stihl chaps and is using proper body english along with a good grip on that saw but I have to ask you: What, do you split the wood from the tree the same day you take it down? And I have never heard of a soft maple; What is that?

It's Silver Maple, Soft Maple where I grew up. We are just breaking the blocks down to liftable size. They will be thrown on the 30' gooseneck trailer and hauled to my woodsheds, where we will finnish processing them into firewood. The chip truck is a 1978 Chevy 1 ton dump with a custom removable diamond plate aluminum top. Custom built by us, of course.

I saw your processor standing out there last Sunday with its shirt off and wearing a big pair of cop sunglasses.:)
I need a set of ramps to hold 1 ton so I can drive my Dingo into the back of my dump truck.
Are you still running the same chipper?

Many different makes Whisper,Altec now,Wayne, Mitts Merrel, Olathe,Fitz and even vermeer all made a version I have used the Whisper the most and Mitts!
What is a fair price for a Olathe with a 4 cyl. Ford diesel. 950 hours & burnt clutch.
On a single axle trailer? Model 986
There is one for sale here, it looks clean.

To the right person? A lot... whatever a lot is. In abosolute truth if Nails' crew ran just a 9 incher with hrydraulics they would look at each other and say" Holy crap! We are gittin er done now!" That is, of course, if they are willing to sacrifice a 9 inch log to the chipper when they might want the wood.
Talk about less time chipping, easier less time chipping and awesome mileage. But nothing beats a machine like theirs for what they got going on. I do feel sorry for IT.

Around here the old timers call Sugar Maple "rock maple", I believe soft was considered swamp or Red Maple. As far as those piece of crap chuck n duck chippers, please, give me a break its time to let them things just die or rot out in a field or something, lol. :monkey:

It is up for auction local right now it's at 1200.00.
With new chipper blades.

There is another one coming up in a week or 2
A bandit with a hyd. loader.
