Pics of the Solo Twin

Anyone notice the pics of the welds, in the eBay listing? That welded area really concerns me. It looks to be around the crank bearing and seal, but I'd need an IPL to see what's actually in there.

I was pondering that too, but if I win it and there is no other ancillary dammage then I have a guy that can make that weld look like it came from the factory that way.

A Solo Twin is top on my want list

I agree with everyone about those twins. The twin has a couple of pages devoted to it in both the 3rd and the 4th editions of the Intertec chain saw service manuals, if anyone wants to take a look at how they are put together. I have a feeling that some parts might be a bit difficult to locate...


My favorite Solo would have to be the Super Rex. That is another neat-looking saw, at least it is to me.

My affection comes from me having run a built Yamaha Banshee for years in the sand dunes. The Solo Twin sounds just like one, especially one with a 2-in-1 pipe on it. I love it!

To be fair to the seller, the way I understand it, those are external plates that are removed with a couple screws.
