finally got the man to talk to me. yes.

my rope is all on the backside of that limb, at the base of the tree, i am standing on. i was leaning back to make that cut hanging on the rope to stay out of the way. and i dont believe i was flipd in for that cut. stupid i know but i just wanted to get that little top out of the way so i could use that little stem as a flipline spot so i would be able to tangle with the rest of the limb and vines.

just a quick little cut. the whole "it'll take longer to flipline in than to make the cut" mentality. i make sure i am in a good position if and when a 1 TIP cut gets made. and thats not too often.

and about humpn that wood. you know how it is man. quicker to get it out of the way sometimes. when i get to that point in my career i will take that extra couple steps but i am not anywhere near that point. and to be honest i didnt want my saw cutting any more of that junk anyway. i was thinking about my saw man. lol

thanks for the reply.

new camera phone so there should be some more pics on the way.

Regularly, I still use a flipline and two hands on the saw.

I will reiterate, I do one-hand on occasion, but it is not the rule. I just witnessed an experienced bucket-man "nick" his left palm with his 338. His crew told me the next day he got 24 stitches....

Sorry, I don't come here and read everything every day anymore.

As for the big wood, get a ball cart, it will save your back. I can attest to the fact that disk problems are not fun.

hey rope i couldnt help but notice that your typing has been taken to another level. i could for the most part decipher what you were saying but i have to say its been easier as of late. thanks!

stay safe.

JPS... what is a ball cart? different than a log dolly? or are you calling it a "ball cart" because that is what it saves?

and for what its worth regarding your absence from the site, i do miss your posts. they are usually filled with the good stuff.

I think the difference between a ball cart and a log dolly is one has a sort of cradle at the bottom where log dollies tend to be squareish.

I like to use my old Cub Cadet matching tractor and cart instead of;
dollies, I can't keep a dolly together the wheels end up caving in!
My cub is cool looks like a miny tractor and actually has gears!
