For you people it probably means nothing, but this stuff reminds me of my youth, when people were bragging left and right about this or that guy as the one that would make their mopeds "blow out of the water" a serious 125, like a Zundapp KS or an Aprilia AF1. Plenty of snake oil salesmen in those days, each with his devoted cult-like following.

I remember buying a Dellorto carburetor from one of these tuning gurus: I don't remember exactly what he had done with it but it flooded badly out of the box. My grandfather saw me tinkering in the garage, came to take a closer look and ordered me to bring it back where I had bought it and get my money back and so I did. Off to a good start, as they say.

With Piltz, I kind of get the vibe that he’s more of an oddball iconoclast than a snake oil salesman. I’ve read some of his posts online and he really seems to believe what he’s peddling. It’s not my cup of tea. Personally, I’d spend way too much to acquire a 10 cube Stihl, not because I have any need for it, but just because I like big saws.

His philosophy of small, stock saws with long bars and big dogs just isn’t what I’m into, but I can see where a 50cc saw with a 28” bar could be useful. It’s nothing remotely like a hotsaw however.

I see he has about 42K feedback on Ebay now.....However I believe if you provide a full refund to a disgruntled buyer, their feedback is completely removed. Which is a bit shady as it does not give the whole picture of a seller's practices.

Have you ever seen an old beaten up Honda Civic with a huge rear spoiler and an even bigger muffler? That's the exact automotive equivalent of a Piltz "hot" saw.
The owners? Exactly the same crowd.

When I was young and my heart was an open book I used to say live and let live: it's their money so it's their problem.
But sadly these folks get into all kinds of stupid troubles (especially when they have the chavette girlfriends filming their little escapades), troubles which unfortunately the media immediately pick up, leading to politicians becoming involved. End result: it seems a man should sell his soul just to drive down the chucking road.

Except he basically comes right out and describes exactly what he is selling. That’s why I think he’s more of a nut than a fraud. You read through the description of the product and it’s plain that he’s selling an otherwise stock MS180, with a new bar, chain, sprocket and dogs. It all adds up to a goofy combination that I wouldn’t want, but it wouldn’t surprise me to find that he really believes he’s hit on something great.

Tarzan ziplines I believe. I’ve purchased 2 cannon bars off eBay from him. Fair pricing but his whole outlook on piltz anything is way out in left field.
