Could a standard, everyday worksaw have a pipe bolted on it and gain a bunch in horsepower, or does a piped saw need port and carb changes to benefit from the pipe?
 
yes a stock saw can have a pipe bolted to it and gain alot of power, now it depends on how high you are going to rpm it as to if you could go and cut firewood with it cause she will get hot on a high rpm pipe
but i have a 3120 with a zero tapered header for cutting on the landing when getting in to big trees , works well doesnot get to hot unless you touch the pipe but hard on the ears
