I don't know if this is the appropriate way to approach this question but I'll give it a go. I have a brand new 045 piston/jug coming my way, and I thought I might have it modified. Not to put any builders on the spot, but I was hoping to find out who can do this reasonably.

Mind you, I'm not referring to the whole saw, just the piston/jug.

Thanks for any input, Chris B.

Hello Chris- To properly have any mods done, you'll need to send the whole saw to a reputable builder, several of which reside here. The reason being- there differences in squish clearance in makes and models of saws, even among the same exact model of saw made by the same manufacturer. To get an accurate gauge on timing, the builder needs to see the clearance on your application while it is bone stock and go from there. You could have someone open up the ports on your cylinder without doing it right by indexing the timing, but then you'd be stuck with a "Hack job" most likely.
