Hey guys, wondering if anyone knows of a 51mm piston with a 11mm or 12mm pin diameter. Looking for a piston to retrofit into a project - pictures would be nice (yeah I know, unlikely, but I thought I would ask). Will likely be a piston for a saw in the 70-80 cc range. Can be a Husky, Stihl, dolmar, doesn't matter.

Thanks, Josh

In the Husky,i found the 55 with 50.9 mm.Dont know the pin size but 10 or 11 mm i would say.

I'm not trying to argue, but I am very familar with the 50,51, and 55 huskys. They were never 50mmm

They were 44mm, 45mm and 46mm over the years. and the pin diameters are way to small, like 9mm.

The 372 was a 50mm and the 268xp was also, the 272 was 52mm.

Josh, I don't know of anything offhand that is in the 51mm diameter. Might check some of the older dolmars, seems they had oddball sizes...something like the 119, 120, etc.

This is not going to really help
Alpina 070 also sold as Prokut 70 by Zip Penn, Homelite 550,Shindaiwa 757
These are the only ones I find with a 51mm bore. No listing as to pin size.
Looks like a trip to the Shindaiwa dealer might be the best bet.

The Shindaiwa 757 has a 51mm bore and 12mm pin - standard 757 piston won't suit my purpose unless I build a 2 piece head. Thanks fo the suggestion. Somewhat curious about the Alpina - slim chance of finding one though.

The 550 has a 2" bore and a .375 pin that is pressed into the rod, ie no pin clips.

Good info on the homelite piston / pin press fit!
