where can i order plastic 2 gallon gas cans tha DO NOT have that dam spill proof spout. every place ive stopped at in NY or NJ has those stupid annoying spring loaded spouts. i did a quick search on line and was unable to find the old style spouts.
any idea's? i like the 2 gallon containers since 2 of them fit in a milk crate nicely.

You better start looking at flea markets and yard sales. I, too, hate them but we're out of luck. Those new spouts are due to some type of EPA regulation relating to spills and fumes being dispersed into the atmoshpere. Unfortunately for the EPA, I have spilled more gas with the new style than with the old.

I can get some shipped (yall pay of course). I use 2 mainly. One for mix and one for straight. They are made by blitz (i think) and they are ventless. Not super fast pourers, but not having a vent to get knocked open and rained in is nice. They work fine for filling up chainsaws (I use a 1 gallon now, but due to my recent purchase of an 088 i will start using a 2.5 gallon). They are the rave down here, you can get them at any convience store, walmart, or hardware place.

Yah know, it's funny I used to buy spill stoppers for my gascans, so as to avoid getting gas all over the saw, or the customer's grass, driveway. Now every one wants cans without em.

I have a decent plastic one that is split for gas on one side and oil on the other. Only the gas side has a small screw on cap on top for venting. I've tipped it upside down when capped and it doesn't leak a drop. Has the flexi-plastic-reversible filler necks too. Reduces fill-up trips quite well. Got it at a local store like Menard's/Fleet Farm or something like that.
