And like the rest , I have a lot of oil stained Stihl parts !

Not tying to be a smart aleck, but can they be stained equally? There have been some threads on dyeing the plastic. Won't look OEM, but would have a uniform appearance.

I have seen one stained all black , didn't look bad . Think they used RIT dye on it ?

Valspar farm and implement enamel from Lowes is very good paint on plastic. Rough the plastic and paint it. They have Husqvarna orange but not sure about Stihl

This is a 044 I just finished the tank was ugly yellow with no chance of looking good, stained with black dye

Just RIT dye in hot water, or something special?

RIT dye and hot water , try and keep the water hot as long as possible

Put an Iggesund R2 bar on it that would be the ideal match to it

Most of the plastic restoration thingies go this way. We all wait to see if you can bring the grunge back to life. Still waiting...

Paint is no problem but the whitening of the plastic on the tank/handles of Stihl I havent figured out yet? Anybody?

Not seen anyone yet who can restore oil stained white plastic. But I am willing to see it!
