Please ID bucking spikes

Those are pretty neat looking. What is the advantage of having and inner and outer bumper spike? Do they keep the cut straighter with less effort, or is it more leverage, ?

Here's a thread I started a while back. Post #6 explains it well. You'll see them com into use often with trees like western red cedar, which have a good amount of trunk flare. the dog on top may not even be touching the tree, but the bottom dog will be.
