Please identify this tree

Hi all,

This is my first post. Just bought a house and learning stuff about what trees I have. If you guys could help me out that would be great. First off I have this tree. I assume its some kind of small palm tree, but not sure exactly what kind. What type is it and does it have any value? Should I just chop it down?

No value? What are you nuts? I want one for my deck. We would use the dead fronds from many palms to cover our deck when we lived out there.

Jeff, I think you need a good stiff de-programming old feller.

I would move it. Put it in a big concrete pot or something.

Thanks guys, thats exactly what I wanted to know. I ended up posting it on craigslist and i'll probably have someone come and dig it out this weekend. I'm slightly tempted to dig it out and put it in my front yard, but I guess we'll see.
