This was hiding in an obscure CL add. I made the trip yesterday. It had already been on CL for 3 days. My understanding is this is a Skil 1690 badged as a Power Machinery PM390, which is not seen very often. Here are some more "dirty" photos:

There's my kill switch hiding in the bottom of the handle.

Neat saw, I found a pm 270 locally also about a year ago. I do not think many of these saws were sold in our area.

Man that thing is a beast!

I sell most saws I find, but if I found that...a 139cc racing striped tree killer.... It may have to stick around... :)

So, is this a PM that became a Skil 1690? Or did Skil sell it as a PM390 to take advantage of name recognition? I didn't think PM made this displacement till after Skil bought them out.

Either way, very excellent saw. There isn't much I wouldn't trade for that thing.

I was waiting for you to happen by here..lol

How does this badge on the bottom of the saw compare to similar saws of the Skil vs. PM makes? Chicago Corporation, made in Canada? Chris, are there any other identifying marks/numbers elsewhere on the saw I can look for? I am new to the Skils, and this is still fairly dirty.
