portage and main

just have found another company here in Canada .. has any one heard anything good or bad .. would like all reply's about this unit Portage and Main outdoor wood boiler .... thanks

look at my posting from last night, I saw my first portage and main boiler at the empire state farm days on 6, august this year
,I was really impressed with them as they have a coal/woodpellet burner option that can be installed when you run out of wood or do not want to burn wood anymore.

The portage and main folks have a dealer in St. Lawrence County US and I beleve they have at least one dealer in the Ontario province.

I got a good look at them a couple of weeks ago. They are a very good boiler. If/when my CB goes out I will buy one. Some of the things I like are:

Air over and under fire
Long heat exchanger through water jacket.
Round fire box.
Door is big (about the same size as CB)
Cool door locking handle.
Off the shelf controls.
Ash pan.
Cold rolled steel.
Wood chip option.
About the same price as CB.
