hi can anyone tell me the best way of attaching a a portawrap to me sling? thanks mat.
 
what type of sling do you have? webbing sling i just fix it on with a krab, or a spliced eye id girth hitch it straight to the porty

Sometimes the questions that arise on here just scare the heck out of me. :dizzy:
 
A biner might be OK for small loads but is not a very good solution. Most biners are not strong enough. Like all pieces in the rigging chain you need to do some calculations to determine which piece it the weak link. A proper system will have the rope as the weakest link.

If you REALLY want to use a hard link, get a large shackle. Dollar for pound they are the cheapest links.

Girth hitching or direct attachment to the anchor are considered the best setups.
