I got a line on another one Rob, if it turns out to be any good I'll send it to you. I have a few now and a couple of projects. I'll let you know.

If you ever run across the Poulan Pro 325 remember your dear ole buddy, the Razorback way down south......us cows and pigs gotta take care of each other

I have a very nice 5000+ that runs 188psi on my Snap-on gauge. I also have several of these projects- a couple of 5000+, 590, and a 325 that needs a piston (anyone have a spare?????? Pweeeze!!). I really like the 5000+. It probably is stronger than a stock 346, but not as as strong as a MM lowered squish 346.

I think I am down to 2 5000 myself now, 1 heated handle 1 regular. Oh I had 5000's over 200psi NOT stock though. :msp_razz:

Matter of fact this nasty dirty ugly 5000 was my stock go to firewood worksaw and used for testing. :msp_tongue: It and another 5000 I picked up from BC were my strongest closed port 5000's I had. A open port 5000 from NS was right there too.

I sold my poulan 325, both my heated handle 490 and reg 490 and all my 590 stuff now too. All of my 500's and about 10 or more 5000's.

Watching your build :msp_thumbup:

I swear there are none of these saws in my end of the world.....I have yet to find even a broken piece of one of them.

One of the best ones I have had came from BC. :hmm3grin2orange: It's in the video I posted with me running it. :msp_tongue:

Matter fact this 5000 was the BC one.

If you ever want to sell that PP 325 just shoot me a pm but let me do the MM on it as I have a piston NOS

I just was tempted to say that a PP 325 was missing from your line-up in another thread - but it looks like you are aware of that then....:D

:msp_sad: What a sad story.....

Just to show where that 5000 OP is porting stacked up stock against stock saws in about same class. 357xp 56.5cc was thrown in to see how they compared to 49cc-50cc

1 cut times in 12" hard maple which is harder then oaks.

stock husky 346xp 50cc, 3/8 7T 5.63 5.62

stock dolmar 5105 with 5100 muffler, 3/8 7T 5.59 5.50

stock partner 5000 , 3/8 7T 5.47 5.84

stock 357xp, 3/8 7T 4.29 4.34

Yes, I have a NOS piston and cylinder but nothing to put it on and I keep trying to find one

I saw this post and was going to say if you wanted to let go of it, I would gladly take it! Then I scrolled back up and saw your post about my 325 and just laughed. I guess we both have some more looking to do. I think my cylinder will clean up. I just need to find a piston.

I have one runner 5K+, several 5K+ parts saws, a 590, and a 325. I counted up yesterday and I have 7, most are complete, of this series.

Are you still looking for a PP405 in decent shape with a very nice P/C?

Mr. Jeremiah Johnson doesn't recognize a saw of his! I got this 5K from him at this years' Poulan GTG.
Stinkbait will make a strong saw from it I'm sure. But because of this thread I doubt I'll sneak-up on anybody with it!
Now if he'll just finish my 1-93 Mac.
Igpoe:cheers:

Yep I caught it in the beginning of thread. See post above. :msp_wink:

That was my go to 5000 and was not babied for looks. :msp_biggrin:

If you can read this, thank a 5000 :dizzy::msp_rolleyes:

Pardon me please Mr Jeremiah Johnson.
Stinkbait got it running today but needs a new ring and a sharp chain. Sounded good over the phone anyway

No need to say pardon to me. :msp_thumbsup: You should be able to tell I dont give a rip about anything said.

44mm 1.5mm husqvarna oem rings is what I used in past (cant remember saw off hand). Bunch of them used them.
Tried some no name aftermarket rings that wasnt caber and they didnt do so well with saws that wasnt run on gas only. Still a afm one in a good running woods ported 5000 work saw with no problems though.
