Just worked on a 1985(year) Poulan 2300CVA for a friend from work. Couldnt believe how unused the saw looked for a 21 year old saw. Love working for free

2300AV vs PP220

Kevin , how would you compare the AV of the 2300AV and the PP220 . Both are 38ccs but horizontal cylinder with rubber AV vs vertical cylinder with spring AV ?

Will let you know Scott when i sharpen the chain up. The chain was so dull you could use it to start a fire. Feels like half the power of the 220. Av, couldnt tell yet.

No offense to your friend but if I owned that saw I wouldn't use it much either.

I see lots of inexpensive homeowner type saws like that.

People just put them away as 'broken' when either the chain gets dull or the gas goes stale.
