I have been working on an old Poulan 4200. I have replaced the gas tank vent, the fuel line and put a carb kit in it.
It starts and runs great but only if I hold the trigger down. The indent button that is supposed to hold it in a fast idle or starting position does not hold the throttle partially open. The indent does pop off when I pull the trigger but it’s not holding the throttle open. I thought I read something about bending the wire link (trigger to carb throttle lever). Can anyone give me guidance on verifying the problem and if I am on the right track…how and where to bend the linkage
Thanks
