Poulan 4200 to 5200

I have a poulan 4200 and would like to know if I can install a piston and cylinder from one of the 85 cc saws like the 5200 or 5400 to get the extra displacement.

I've only owned 5400 and 8500's. But he owns them all.

Just change the piston and cylinder.
Another trick that you can do is if you have a saw with the center cover hold down screw you can remove the three short studs and get a cover that is held on by the 3 outside screws. They are 10-24 thread

I buy them whenever I find them. They are not too common here. I have the 4200 and 5200. The 4200 runs but it's high mileage. When I rebuild it, I may as well go bigger. The p and c for the 5200 are also easier to find than the 4200.
