Poulan farmhand chainsaw fuel & bar oil cap

Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a replacement fuel cap for a Poulan 2500 2.5ci Farmhand chainsaw. The ones I'm seeing are for the newer ones. The OEM cap is obsolete. Anybody experienced trouble finding this cap? Any links? The oil cap can be found but not the gas cap. The cap is hard to put on & take off. Thanks!

The cap being hard to thread on or off can be caused by ethanol gas swelling the cap . Also I have seen a bump on the flat area between the treads of the gas cap cause that problem . A trim to the bump or a few days of dry out will solve the problem .

Thanks. I have trimmed it a little bit a while ago and it's doing it again. Thought I'd replace it and have them to swap when the new ones swell.

Ok .
I think a lot of the small poulan saws used that same low profile gas cap .
Bet there is a parts saw in your community small engine repair shop .

I think I have a set from this saw I parted out. Wasnt worth the carb kit to me.

I got plenty of those used. Part number comes back to a lot of them.

Surprised same as my mag cased ones. Will have to see that for myself since have bother here.

Put the cap in the freezer and it will drive out the ethanol causing the swelling...

Lot of folks keep 2 around if they are running ethanol mix and having swelling issues. Once swelled they take off let it set and run the other one till it happens again. Just keep swapping them when needed.
Just something that made it easier on locals.

When trying to keep a Poulan operational I've found it's best to keep a few in the Salvage for parts.

I was confirming the NLA plastic saw and mag cased saws caps switched today.

Both NLA new.

I have plenty of used if it get to that.

I switched them out to make sure as shown.

Green plastic 2500 2750 etc. Black tank the poulan craftsman mag cased saws. One with white paint was originally on the mag cased saw.
