Bought a poulan pro 4016 saw at a yard sale. Need to find a coil but can't find anything for that Model. Plenty of 4018's... are they the same?

I have a little 255 that I really like, its small light weight 16" bar 325 full chisel. I don't know the cc but likely 35 or 40? It must have come from a time when Poulan Pro was close to Partner as it has a metal base, plastic top cover, recoil cover, and starter cover but not plastic base?

Thats what i assumed but needed to hear it from someone else. I can tell it's not a quality build and might give it to someone needing an occasional saw. Thanks for the reply!

they were mostly all 42 cc and just had different outer looks and bars on them,---base unit is same. I have a TON of them here in the shed! Buy them at auctions for $1., --- toss them in the pile and I never run out of parts for the ones that I log with!

Thanks for the reply! I bought this one looking nearly unused for $5.00. After some carb work/adj it ran for a few minutes and lost fire. Luckily coils are inexpensive. Thanks again!

They are actually a decent saw that have a bad reputation as being junk just because they come form the factory set too lean, self destruct early and the owners know nothing about saws. All they need is a proper tune, simple muffler mod and a decent full chisel chain to turn them into a reliable saw with a good lifetime for use by occasional saw users. My main beef is all the current PP's are strato engines and I do not like stratos
