That's was a good one Brian.
If I did answer all of the emails and return all of the calls that come in here, I would never get any saws done. Sometimes I wait until I get more then one email from the same person. That saves me a lot of time typing out emails to people that are just fishing and not really interested in having a saw built. Some people just want information.

tree buddy.. i tell u what hese fellas not been forthcoming with how to port a saw.. but ill tellu anything u need o know..firs u go get 2 -1 by 3/4 copper adapters.putem on the muffler so i looks good.. get u a drill one size bigger than the exhaust port,,an drills it real good..
then get u wifes dirt devil an vac all at stuff out the cylinder..slap u muff back on
there an u ready..dont crank it tho .. put it forth rite on ebay as a ported saw . never crunk.charge at least 50 dollars more than a nw saw price an somebody u go for it..it helps if u move around a lot if u gon do this..oherwise u costomers will all want to pay u a personal visit..:) :)

just opens a saw up and sets ever thing,, timing etc at its optimum.u question is an honest question but it aint a real good answer to it,,as different porters probably skin the cat different..,hope u dont mind me playin atchu id rather laugh as cry ,,and its one or t other these days..good luck..
 
Hey Dan, how many degrees from TDC do I put the finger ports, I asked Ed, but he won't give me a straight answer and Ken just tells me to take a flying leap.
I'm thinking about clubulating my own clubs but I need to know how to clubulate them first.

Thats easy let me put into simple terms for you John,
Start porting and drinking beer at same time. When beer finished start on second port. Repeat for second port. For polishing port drink 2 beers per port. Everything should look nice and glazy. Don't forget cutters work best at 5-10 rpms.

Gypo i thought you were porting your skidder not a chainsaw but Chris has it about right but what size of beer was that a can or a 5 gallon pail
