Hi all, I have my 2011 Stihl MS362 that I bought new. Looking over the net the resale pricing is high and they are not in great shape.
I was approached by a fellow volunteer sawyer that is tired of using the 4 chainsaws the organization provides. Knowing that I'm waiting on a 500i he said I want to buy your chainsaw. I said OK but I need to clean it up and put a carb kit to it. Also a new chain, bar and rim sprocket and other miscellaneous parts. I'm including a used chain and True North scabbard.
It has no vacuum or pressure leaks. The compression at 5000 feet elevation is 138 psi. Piston on both sides look very clean, no scarring as it should with proper care and maintenance.
I want to give him a fair price, not looking to make a lot of money on my investment return. This is a person I work with out there on the trails. I consider tools and camera equipment as rental fees owning them.
Is $425 a reasonable price?
Thanks for your opinions!
