Problem with ECHO Battery Saw

We have an ECHO 16 in. 58-Volt Brushless Lithium-Ion Battery Chainsaw at the firehouse for quick light-duty cutting. Yesterday the chain got pinched in a tree and the saw stopped. As of right now, the saw is dead I changed the batteries, and still dead.. Is there any hard reset or did they blow something inside?

Maybe the bar is bent chain needs to move easy by hand?

Pretty sure the chain brake on these is a hard kill for power vs an actual brake

Ya I moved the kickback and the chain runs free when moved by hand.. i think they may have fried something inside

There may very well be a fuse inside the saw or battery pack that may have blown. It should still be under the warranty, though, right?

Did you snap it all the way forward and do a full reset to the rear?

It probably stinks. Damn dirty electric saw.

They probably overloaded the thing that interfaces the battery to the tool. Iv seen it happen alot in brushless drills used for stuff like drywall mud. Should be a simple fix although idk if echo dealers can do that themselves

The fuse for the battery is reset by pushing the power level button

Both times I killed mine it was the brake. They are wickedly simple machines.
