I had the left hand side leg loop clip of my glide pop open on me today while I was returning from a limbwalk. Scared the crappers out of me and was a little awkward to clip back in.

Im not sure wether I rubbed it or something, or wether it is getting a little worn. It is 2 years old and this is the second time in the last month that this has happened.

Has anybody else experienced this with this harness?

I have clips on my butterfly and have never had anything like that happen.

Have you tried cleaning and lubricating the clips at all?

i also have the BII and have never had it happen although it has crossed my mind that its possible. are the clips replaceable on the glide? off the subject, how do you like the glide other then the obvious clip problem.... i need to get a saddle that can be fitted with a fall arrest harness and i'm leaning to the glide

Yeah Im not scared of falling out of the whole harness, however when it popped out, half of me fell about a foot, and as you can imagine, it was a very awkward and uncomfortable position.

The clips are all regularly cleaned and seviced with graphite powder and are always double checked before I go aloft, so I am ruling out human error. I am thinking I must have rubbed it in just the right (wrong) way to unclip it.

You might try testing the clips like they do for competition inspection and take one side and push one side of the clip and pull on it and see if it comes loose and then do the same thing to the other side of the release mechanism.
