I have owned this 365 now for about six years and have never had a single problem with it. For the past year now I have been running it full-time and it is finally starting to act up abit. Takes about 8-10 pulls to get it started in the morning which is ok with me but even after it is warm it can be a pain to start. Quite often I have to choke the saw even when warm to fire it up. Seems to have good power yet and idles great. Does seem to sound slightly different at high RPM's. I am planning on getting a carb kit, new fuel filter, and replace the fuel lines on it. The saw always gets fresh gas and the plug is in great shape. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Matt :)

get to the basics. ignition, fuel, and compression. this can be done at very little cost.
replace the plug, test run the saw.
check the carb settings and adjust, test run the saw.
rebuild the carb, replace fuel filter and if the fuel lines look faulty replace them. check all ports and openings are clear, test run the saw.
borrow a compression gauge or take the saw to someone that has one and test compression. if the saw needs to be freshined up you would have done the plug and carb anyway.
at any point you can remove the muffler and check for scores and stuck rings. from your explaination i would stick with the three basics first.
i hope your problem is no deeper than the basics. the 365 is a good little saw.

Thanks Marty! I changed the plug and adjusted the carb already so I will probably put in a carb kit next, have it on order right now.The piston and cylinder look fine.

I had the fuel line split between the filter compartment an where the line enters the fuel tank on my 365. 3 yrs old. Change the fuel line and pulse line while you have the carb apart. At that age its due.
