I took down this dead Elm last Saturday. A small White Oak had grown under the Elm, so I had to persuade the Elm to go where I wanted it to fall. I wasn't comfortable with using wedges on it so Mr. Dodge was called into action.
I'll apologize for the pics, the camera picture quality got set on low and I didn't catch it.

The leaning Elm, marked with the paint.

All rigged. More of an angle thant I wanted, it was to wet to get the truck positioned otherwise.

Nice pulling pics...

I like the power wagon. My dad had 66 power wagon when I was growing up and I had an ex-military 73 power wagon for a while.

I love it when I can pull over smaller trees and get the roots out as well...

Can't tell ya how many times I've wished for a winch set up like that. Very nice looking Dodge.

Amazing what one can do with a strong winch, even stronger snatch block and 150' of cable. A friend of mine has a Dodge tank we use for gathering fire wood. Of course his is not in as good condition as yours (tail gate falling off, rust here and there, wires hanging down from the rear) but it certainly gets the job done.

Great pics

Great pics. That's a nice set up on the Dodge, and that's coming from a Ford guy (ducking).

how do u like that ArborPro bar? im got a 24" on my 066. and the only complaint that i had with it is that it had a small hole just behind the tip with a plastic plug in it that came out a?fter half a day and got clogged with sawdust. does your bar have this

Wait a minute! there ain't no sawdust or nuthin' on that there saw of yours!... Is that a "show" saw?

very nice!

Very nice pics. And also very nice truck! I'm a dodge man too. And of course nice saw!:) :greenchainsaw:

Nice pics I think that the Mr Dodge with the cummins even stock could have done some real good persuading in 4 wheel drive. Great pics Im a cummins man myself, clean truck for the year. Oh yeah almost forgot nice saw and falling job to. the truck blocked my train of thought

Excellent pics don't worry about the quality of 'em, heck, anything over .75-1mb's is a waste unless its wall paper material (and there are some great picture takers around heres abouts :) ), enough to get the idea and clear too!
Gotta love them trucks, always coveted my bud's old Power Wagon, think it was pre '60's, dana 60's and beastly straight 6, that thing would pull stumps and haul anything except boulders (long bad story), man I miss my old '51 Ford dually :(
As for the 'over-worked' adjective 'nice'.........GAH!
Good pics!
Beauty truck!
Beastly (but too clean) saw!
And a nice (I'mma gonna suffer this) hinge too!
Looked to be a fine day and everyone got home safe 'n' sound!

 :givebeer: :givebeer: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So far the Arbor Pro bar has been good, it hasn't been used much. Lately the firewood cutting hasn't required a large saw. I've been using the 026 & 254xp most of the time. The plastic plug has stayed in the bar so far, I did wonder about it falling out though.

It cuts so fast the sawdust doesn't have a chance to stick to it.......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks for the positive comments guys! Next time I'll wash the truck before I take it to the woods. :hmm3grin2orange:
