Painful memorys

Wow! You can still sell short pulpwood?? The mills in the south stopped taking it a few years ago.

Joesawer,
I know of two places that will still take shortwood pulpwood here in south louisiana. A wood yard owned by a major pulp mill and the big pulp mill. you do not see it much but every so often I will see an old short wood trailer headed down the road stacked to the top. But that figures, here in south louisiana we are still light years behind in every aspect of existance.

Pulpwood

I know up in Maine they take white spruce in 4 ft lengths for pul any day of the week. NOt super profitable, but a good filler if you dont have anything else to do.

Thanks. The loader has served me well so far. Got it this past winter and have had to add some new hoses and replace the u-joint on the pto shaft. It seems to lift anything.

Yes, I was doing this as a filler to make a few extra bucks to help pay for my skidder repair --- whole other story.

why are none of the trees cut into saw logs? looks as tho a few of them are big enough to be sawed? just curious
