I posted an ad on craigslist for oak lumber. I didn't know what to expect. I have to cut about 200ft of 1''x6" and 1"x8" tomorrow. I have had quite a few people inquire. There are a decent amount of small horse ad cattle farmers around here. I'm charging the guy $1 a board foot. Is that about the norm? I really like my LT15. I wish it has a power up and down for the cut depth. Other then that it's really a good little mill. Nice to make a little money with it to of set the cost of some new parts. I'm going to get another bed so I can cut trailer floors (up to 20ft) and some new clamps. I have the old screw design and I want the newer clamping design.

Are you mobile? Prices vary from .30 to a dollar a bf depending on where you are and if you are stationary or not.
I bought a pair of the new clamps, they are awesome. I am going to mod my old ones by cutting off the jack screw & welding a cam handle in the same spot. I have the handles cut out, just haven't got around to it yet. I will use the modded ones for those 26' logs( I built my own extension).
Going from csm to band was like going from dial-up to broadband.

Hey guys, I'm interested in getting into milling. The job I'm on now is all band sawed wood, 3/4" to 2" walnut, oak, cherry, poplar. really cool, espetially because the owner just cut trees down to use, and only had to pay the guy to mill and plane.... anyways this guy with the saw wants to sell me his saw, it's a wood mizer 24 I think and he wants 15k, I can't afford it, but your thoughts-

Ya I know that..... I just wanted to know if that was close to a fair price or not.
The woodmizer 40 cost 25k, I thought the 24 would be way cheaper than that.
