here's the new gecko cf, thinking about getting it

curious about the durability of these as far as walking on pavement and such. i know the strength of the carbon fiber isnt an issue, just wondering if they will wear away over time, compromising strength.

here's what i have been using for ~5 yrs. i have aluminum pads, is case u were wondering.

titanium is freakin awesome, very light and strong first of all, and walking on pavement does nothing but polish the titanium. when i retire these, i might take the grinder to them just a bit to see what happens.

im sure they would be fine i dont see the CF wearing out from walking around i mean i had a knee brace made from CF my doctor told me a fire truck could it over and it wont break! I think the bottom of the climber would take years and years of walking on pavement to wear it thin, anyway unless im going up the next tree over i usally take off my spikes ASAP ya know who wants to walk around in them

I've got the red ones...don't think they're cf though. Best spurs eva.

Nice looking climbers! Personally I have never used titanium, let me know how they are for day to day use. (I hope this is for removals only :) )

titanium is virtually indestructible and very light. they weigh like 4.7lbs per pair if memory serves. the gecko cf is like 3.5lbs/pair. the t2s pictured above are very nice, they flex alot tho and hit my ankle sometimes. might be cuz i have big ankles tho

Well I will take a look. Flex.. that could be interesting. Took me a while to get used to the velcro pads on the top.. now you want me to try something that has flex :)
