I must not be up on my saws, I havent heard of the 136 yet . Is it a new model or not and is it a climbing saw. what is the weight ? Ill have to look back at my stihl catalog and check it out if it is in there. I still use the 020t, but havent tried the new model ms 200

John the MS200 is the exact same as the 020T, it is just that Stihl ran out of numbers and had to change their system. Ole Andreas must not have figured his company would last this long when he started his numbering system:) The 136 is the cheapest saw Husky makes at $179. But ask monkeypuzzle, for the money they are dependable and if you drop one fifty feet who care as long as it doesnt land on your groundsman. They are not a top handle saw they have a conventional handle set up, but a lot of climbers do not want the top handle set up

10/4 on that huskyman, i hear ya. the 136 is definitly no 025 but after shelling out 300 dollars with tax for the 025 and destroying it 2 weeks later I am gonna try the 136 for a little while. I havn't decided whether I am gonna just get an 026 and continue using the 136 or just get another 025 and use it with the 044. I am used to using the 025 and it will handle pretty much everything I encounter untill it is time to break out the 044. When I worked for other tree companies we would use the 020 till we needed the 026 then fell the tree with the 044. I prefer to use only the 025 till I get to chunks big enough for the 044.

JPM, if youve heard of the model 36 its the same saw as the 136. Except for a few little non-noticable items.

thanks everyone , that does clear things up. I will still stick with my stihl 020t for climbing though . I havent dropped it yet and if i do , my company will buy a new one :) John

Hey guys, I haven't been on in a while, but this discussion caught my eye. I remember when I bought my first saw (POS 019) Something was wrong with that saw pretty much the second day I had it. I just went to my dealer, told them I wasn't happy with that particular saw. They took it and handed me a brand new one. No questions asked. This dealer is not known for their good attitude either. What I mean by that is that they do not give anybody a break.

Yeah most of the 019 saws I had sold were POS. I stopped selling them. Only on an order basis.
